those wonderful human beings working for the good
fiercely fighting the princes of darkness and often risking their lifes.

When you immigrated to the holy land, when you were just a tiny fraction of the people there, you could have come with an open hand, ready to share the land with the indigenous people there.
But no. You came with a closed fist.
Yes it was a tough neighborhood; you were not welcome; wars were launched against you. But even still, you could have done it differently. In those all-important early days, when trust is forged or fractured, you drove Palestinians out of their villages, massacring many. That was your original sin — your Nakba.
And then in the years that followed, you closed borders, built walls, expanded settlements, set up two-tiered land and water and justice systems. You persecuted and jailed those who resisted … “mowed the grass” in Gaza whenever it grew too high. You ignored international law, the Geneva convention and UN Security Council resolutions. And you refused to ever consider the right of refugees to return.
Admit it, O people of Israel: you failed to respect the humanity and dignity of generations of Palestinians. You treated them like subservient, second-class citizens — never as equals.
With the insight of a people persecuted for millennia, exterminated in pogroms and mass-murdered in a Holocaust, you could have found, in your wise rabbinic tradition, a way for Arabs and Jews to live together. But you didn’t want to share the land. You wanted it all. And in the process, you turned your Zionist project into a nightmare; the West Bank into a patchwork of disconnected enclaves surrounded by your settlements; Gaza into an open-air prison — and now a killing field.
It’s too late to rewrite history. But you can change the script you’re holding in your hands.
Show us. The world waits for you to conquer your fears and, in the years to come, emerge as a shining example of peaceful coexistence for the people of the 21st century to emulate.
O People of Israel, the time has come to make the change or there is nothing but killings and killings and killings ahead and eternal global disgust and contempt.

18-year-old Israeli conscientious objector Sofia Orr arrived at the army’s recruitment center near Tel Aviv and declared her refusal to enlist in mandatory military service in protest of Israel’s war on Gaza and long-standing occupation. The second Israeli teenager to publicly refuse the draft for political reasons since October 7 — following Tal Mitnick who did so in December — Orr was sentenced to an initial 20 days in Neve Tzedek military prison, which will likely be extended if she continues to refuse to enlist.
Nonetheless, Orr was one of 230 Israeli teens who signed an open letter in early September, prior to the war, announcing their intention to refuse their draft orders as part of a wider protest against efforts by Israel’s far-right government to restrict the power of the judiciary. Connecting the judicial overhaul to Israel’s long-standing military rule over Palestinians, the high schoolers — who organized under the banner of “Youth Against Dictatorship” — declared that they would not join the army “until democracy is secured for all who live within the jurisdiction of the Israeli government.”
With the vast majority of the Israeli public fully supportive of the army’s assault on Gaza in the wake of October 7, and with left-wing activists facing heavy-handed police repression and doxxing for taking a stand against the war, the stakes for conscientious objectors have been raised even higher.
“It’s important for me to do this even if I don’t convince anyone. It’s the right thing to do. But I don’t know if I would have done this publicly if I didn’t have some hope that people could hear and listen and that there was still room for conversation. It’s very important to reach Israeli society, especially the young people who stand where I stand, and show them why I chose what I chose.”

Masih Alinejad is an Iranian-American journalist, a women’s rights campaigner, and the author of the best-selling memoir The Wind in My Hair. In 2023, TIME named Alinejad one of the women of the year, and she was elected President of the World Liberty Congress. She is one of the most prominent and vocal figures challenging the Islamic Republic of Iran. Today, Masih continues to write and host Tablet, a satirical weekly show on VOA. She has been honored with several awards, including sharing the 2022 Oxi Courage award with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the 2022 Washington Institute’s Statesman-Scholar award, and the American Jewish Committee’s Moral Courage award.”
Svetlana Tikhanovskaya is the exiled leader of the democratic opposition in Belarus. A Belarusian court sentenced her in absentia to 15 years in prison.
“I was my son’s current age when former Soviet bureaucrat Alexander Lukashenko came to power in Belarus with the help of Russia. He turned our country into a dictatorship and a Russian colony. Parliament was dismissed, political opponents disappeared and the independent media was destroyed. Elections became a hollow ritual, with no real counting of votes. The Belarusian language was pushed out of the public space.
In 2020, my husband decided to challenge Lukashenko for the presidency. He was arrested and eventually sentenced to 18 years in prison. To support him, I decided to run in his place. To the surprise of the dictator and his Russian masters, I won. We won. But the elections were stolen: Lukashenko falsely claimed he won 80 percent of the vote and retained his grip on power. Massive peaceful protests were cracked down. As many as 60,000 people were jailed. I was forced into exile in Lithuania, from where I continue to speak for the Belarusian people as the rightful president-elect”

It is not anti-semitic or pro-Hamas to point out that you and your government has annihilated the Gaza health care system destroying 26 hospitals killing more that 400 health care workers.
It is not anti-semitic or pro-Hamas to condemn you and your extremist government for the destruction of all of the 12 Gaza universities and 56 schools leaving 625.000 students with no educational opportunities .
It is not anti-semitic or pro-Hamas to agree with virtually all humanitarian organisations in saying that you blocking for all humanitarian aid to come into Gaza is a gross violation of the most fundamental rules and conventions and it WILL taint the Israeli nation and the whole Israeli population forever.
You Mr. Netanyahu will not succeed in distracting the illegal war policies of your extremist, racist and apartheid government.
You will not succeed in using anti-semitism to deflect attention from the criminal indictments facing you and waiting for you in the Israeli criminal courts and it is not anti-semitic to hold you accountable for your actions.

Boeing charged with 737 MAX Fraud Conspiracy by the United States Department of Justice and Agrees to Pay over $2.5 Billion.
Boeing has been charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States and has agreed not to contest the charges and admits that it engaged in criminal conduct intended to deceive and mislead the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) during the 737 MAX certification process. Under the terms of the agreement with the Justice Department, Boeing will pay a total criminal monetary amount of over $2.5 billion, composed of a criminal monetary penalty of $243.6 million, compensation payments to Boeing’s 737 MAX airline customers of $1.77 billion, and the establishment of a $500 million crash-victim beneficiaries fund to compensate the heirs, relatives, and legal beneficiaries of the 346 passengers who died in the Boeing 737 MAX crashes of Lion Air Flight 610 and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302.
“The misleading statements, half-truths, and omissions communicated by Boeing employees to the FAA impeded the government’s ability to ensure the safety of the flying public,” said U.S. Attorney Erin Nealy Cox for the Northern District of Texas. “This case sends a clear message: The Department of Justice will hold manufacturers like Boeing accountable for defrauding regulators – especially in industries where the stakes are this high.”
The agreement does not address any misconduct of Boeing top corporate officials, although it highlights the conduct of top Boeing flight pilots who chose to repeatedly mislead the FAA in order to elevate profits over safety.
Boeing has now admitted in Court documents that “The purpose of the conspiracy was to defraud the FAA AEG by impairing, obstructing, defeating, and interfering with the lawful function of the FAA AEG by dishonest means in connection with its publication of the 737 MAX FSB Report and its differences-training determination for the Boeing 737 MAX, in order to bring about a financial gain to Boeing and to benefit Boeing Employee-1 and Boeing Employee-2 in connection with the Boeing 737 MAX.” Ongoing civil litigation is expected to highlight further misconduct by Boeing that was not included in the Justice Department agreement.
