Know what that is? No, I thought so. Very few do. Its the name of a country formerly known as Swaziland. A landlocked country in Africa with about 1,3 million people. And a king.

He likes expensive cars and expensive watches and has lots of them. And he has his own plane and all the other usual shit you have when you own everything. All while the country has one of the highest rate of HIV infected. No modern hospitals, scarcity of basic medicine, few pharmacies, high unemployment, food scarcity, poor infrastructure, poor everything.
All this mixed with police brutality, arbitrary detention, harassing and intimidating critics and murder and torture of the population by all his goons.
And yet this gangster is still alive. For some strange reason he has not been taken out. But that ofcourse is also true for a number of other dictators and monsters and scumbags in other parts of the world.

At the just finished climate meeting COP28 in Dubai the nuclear energy lobby was again pushing for more investments in nuclear power and pledges were being made bolstered with misleading claims and lies about its safety, efficiency, stability and speed of deployment. ITS ALL FAIRY TALES.
With the costs and efficiency of renewable energy solutions improving year on year, and the effects of our rapidly changing climate accelerating across the globe, we need to take an honest look at some of the myths being perpetuated by the nuclear industry and its supporters. Here are six reasons why nuclear power is NOT the way to a green and meaningful zero carbon future.
IT DELIVERS TOO LITTLE. According to scenarios from the World Nuclear Association and the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (both nuclear lobby organisations), doubling the capacity of nuclear power worldwide in 2050 would only decrease greenhouse gas emissions by around 4%. But in order to do that, the world would need to bring 37 new large nuclear reactors to the grid every year from now, year on year, until 2050. Which is impossible.
IT IS TOO EXPENSIVE. The cost of generating solar power ranges from $36 to $44 per megawatt-hour (MWh), the World Nuclear Industry Status Report said, while onshore wind power comes in at $29–$56 per MWh. Nuclear energy costs between $112 and $189 per MWh. According to a November 2021 study released by Greenpeace France and the Rousseau Institute, power from the under-construction European Pressurised Reactor (EPR) at Flamanville in France would be 3 times as expensive as the country’s most competitive renewable sources.
IT IS TOO SLOW. The 2021 World Nuclear Industry Status Report estimates that since 2009 the average construction time for reactors worldwide was just under 10 years, well above the estimate given by the World Nuclear Association (WNA) industry body of between 5 and 8.5 years.

Countries like France are pushing hard for nuclear power at the EU level, hoping that when it comes to waste, out of sight is out of mind. But nuclear waste will never go away, and will never be sustainable. And it has been revealed that France is exporting nuclear waste to Siberia in completely unsafe conditions. This is one of the obvious reasons why nuclear power shouldn’t be eligible for green funding nor marketed as ‘sustainable’, as pointed out recently by countries like Austria, Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, and Spain, who spoke against the inclusion of nuclear power in the EU’s green finance taxonomy.
THE INDUSTRY HAS FALLEN SHORT OF ITS PROMISES. The EPR nuclear reactor technology has been showcased by the French government and French nuclear operator EDF as a revolutionary technology announcing the dawn of a nuclear renaissance. The reality is that this technology isn’t any kind of technological leap. More importantly, the French EPR reactor located in Flamanville is more than 10 years overdue and nearly four times over budget. And we are talking HUGE amounts of money.
THE POWERPLANTS ARE DANGEROUS AND VULNERABLE. Nuclear power plants present unique hazards in terms of the potential consequences resulting from a severe accident. Nuclear reactors and their associated high level spent fuel stores are vulnerable to natural disasters, as Fukushima Daiichi showed, but they are also vulnerable in times of military conflict.
For the first time in history, a major war is being waged in a country with multiple nuclear reactors and thousands of tons of highly radioactive spent fuel. The war in southern Ukraine around Zaporizhzhia puts them all at heightened risk of a severe accident.
WE MUST exert the utmost caution when presented with pro-nuclear opinions coming from experts and organisations regularly working with stakeholders from the nuclear sector and potentially tainted by vested interests. Nuclear energy has no place in a safe, clean, sustainable future. It is more important than ever that we steer away from false solutions and leave nuclear power in the past.

The Pakistani teacher Sister Zeph wins the 2023 Global Teacher Award.
After being beaten and humiliated by her teacher in front of her classmates at school when she was little, Sister Zeph opened her own school in the courtyard of her home when she was just 13 years old, teaching herself at home and offering tuition to local children.
She started working as a child to fund her free school and went door-to-door to recruit students. While her school lacked basic facilities, she says “it had respect, equality, love, and passion for all the students, the passion that was going to make history in the future.” She kept teaching herself as a private student, would work 8 hours a day, teach 4 hours at her school, and would teach herself 4 hours at night, reading newspapers and listening to English news to improve her knowledge and speaking skills because there was no one educated in her family or in the neighbourhood at the time. She has now been teaching for 26 years and become a hugely influential figure.
As well as running the school, she runs self-defence classes for girls, having herself been attacked and threatened. She also provides financial assistance to families choosing between educating their children and paying their bills, and runs a vocational centre that has helped more than 6,000 women gain skills in ICT, textiles, and the English language.
Today she is hailed as a women’s education expert, empowerment and environmental leader, children’s rights activist, published writer, international speaker, and community leader committed to fostering interfaith harmony.

In one week the Danish parliament will vote on a bill known locally as the QURAN Law.
It is the one that will introduce – amongst other things – “prohibition against inappropriate treatment of writings with religious significance for a recognized religious community”
In other words: It will be punishable for instance to set BIBLEs, TORAs, BOOK OF MORMONs, QURANs, TRIPITAKAs and similar others on fire if you so wish.
This law will be a gross violation of the freedom of speech and expression protection laid down in the Danish constitution and a pitiful knee-jerk reaction to brutal despots and religious fanatics.
An associate Danish judge has formulated it extremely precisely. “With this bill we show the women who are imprisoned, sentenced, flogged, stoned and killed to the sound of recitation of the words of a fabricated almighty that the holy scriptures are better protected in Denmark than the bodies and lives are in countries where these demands come from.”
The proposed sanctions of this so called QURAN bill are completely grotesque. If you set fire to a specific book, you risk up to two years in prison.

The Danish Prime Minister Ms. Mette Frederiksen is concerned about Danish demonstrations and public statements in connection with the bloody conflict in Israel and Gaza. She wants to know if the Police and Prosecutors can intervene – as she puts it.
